Toyota says it plans to have around 70 "electrified models" available on a global scale by the year 2025. The company's future lineup will include 15 dedicated battery-powered EVs.
Seven of those will carry Toyota's Beyond Zero (bZ) brand name.
Toyota also has announced plans to "bring electrification to its pickup truck lineup in the near future.
"This diverse portfolio of electrified products will help propel Toyota toward its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050," according to Toyota officials.
