Zhongce Rubber Group Co. Ltd. (ZC Rubber) plans to establish a "Future Factory" plant in Hangzhou, China, Shen Jinrong, the company's chairman, announced during the firm's recent China Distributors Conference.
On top of that, ZC Rubber plants in Thailand and China will "enter various production stages" in the new year.
Jinrong also told attendees that ZC Rubber will establish what the company calls the "ZC Rubber Digital Brain" within the next five years.
This "smart network" will link the company's manufacturing, supply chain, equipment, services and marketing activities "to achieve overall industrial digitization."
In addition, ZC Rubber's truck and bus radial tire research center will focus on developing commercial truck tire products under the company's recently announced Flagship Series program, which also encompasses passenger tires.
Last year was a "remarkable" one for ZC Rubber, despite the impact of COVID-19, according to Jinrong, who cited "new growth, products and technologies" as highlights.
Looking ahead to 2021, company Vice President Ge Guorong promised increased digital marketing support for ZC Rubber distributors "as more people are on social media now while stuck at home during the pandemic.
"Partnership with customers is an essential element for us. In the face of the pandemic, we are going to deliver stronger marketing support across different channels to help our distributors maintain" both sales and market share growth. We're confident in the way our business is growing and we look forward to keeping this momentum in 2021 and beyond."
