Each year Modern Tire Dealer selects one tire dealer for its annual Tire Dealer of the Year award. The collection of past winners is an honor roll of inspiring innovators and leaders who have changed the tire industry. When a new tire dealer is selected to join those ranks, he or she is highlighted in our September issue and featured on the cover of MTD. The Tire Dealer of the Year's favorite charity also receives a donation of $1,000 from MTD, and a portion of the proceeds from all congratulatory ads that appear in the September issue.
The nomination period for 2025 will open in January.
2024 Winner
Beth Barron
Chabill's Tire & Auto Service
Born into a tire dealership family, Beth Barron didn't seem destined to become a tire dealer herself. And yet, she's spent more than 30 years working at Chabill's Tire & Auto Service, the Louisiana tire dealership her father co-founded in 1968.
She worked in every office in the company's headquarters and before her father died in 2019 she was named his successor and CEO. She's a rare female executive atop an independent tire dealership. And though two other women have been named Tire Dealer of the Year previously alongside their husbands, Barron is the first woman to win the award on her own.
Under her watch Chabill's Tire & Auto Service has grown and focused on maximizing the service it provides to customers at each of its 18 retail stores throughout Southern Louisiana. She is dialed into the processes and 150 people in the operation, and invests in and utilizes resources to strengthen the company so it can provide world-class customer service.
