Hunter Engineering Co. is partnering with Bush Specialty Vehicles to showcase a mobile tire service van outfitted with Hunter equipment at the 2021 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show.
Bush has a patent-pending design that allows customers to change the configuration of onboard equipment to accommodate a variety of services, including tire changes, tire balancing, brake work, oil changes, ADAS calibration and more.
The mobile van will be set up in Hunter's booth, No. 41017 during the SEMA show at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nov. 2-5.
The van will offer a preview of Hunter's new TC33M tire changer, to be released this winter, as well as the SmartWeight Pro tire balancer.
The TC33M is specifically designed for use in mobile service applications. Hunter says it offers powerful bead breaking for tough tires, a patented adjustable center clamp for maximum wheel protection, and single-pendant control that’s fast and easy to use.
The SmartWeight Pro features Hunter's patented SmartWeight technology that focused on finer balancing with minimal weight usage and maximum productivity. It features a space-saving hood design, which makes it perfect for mobile use, and also includes single-knob interface and no-touch wheel measurement.
The equipment can be loaded and unloaded with a pallet loader, then guided into place with a built-in pneumatic roller system. The machines are immobilized and affixed to the vehicle floor with a heavy-duty anchoring system.
Power to the Bush vehicle is provided by a Powerbox 240-volt inverter system. There are several configuration options, including a 42-inch aluminum storage cabinet, two slide-out drawers, two lightweight floor jacks and floor mounting brackets, and LED recessed lights. There’s also room for onboard tires on custom racks. Even with all of that, the tire and vehicle services are completed from inside the van.
