Sumitomo Rubber North America Inc. (SRNA) brought its newest commercial truck tire, the Falken BI837, to the 2022 Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS), which took place March 24-26 in Louisville, Ky.
The drive position tire is designed for super-regional use.
It has been engineered "to prevent stone drilling and features a long casing life by addressing groove geometry that releases stones while in operation,” says Natsuki “Nick” Yoshida, SRNA field engineer.
“We’ve developed this tire with a high-mileage tread compound and will initially offer it in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 295/75R22.4 and 285/75R22.5 sizes in 2022, with more expansion to follow. We’re excited to present this tire to our customers because we know how well it performs.”
