Purcell Tire & Rubber Co. has acquired Lowe Industrial Tire Service LLC, a single-location dealership in Grain Valley, Mo., from Jason Lowe, its owner.
Lowe, a 30-plus year industrial tire segment veteran, "will bring his knowledge, expertise and customer base" to Purcell's location in Kansas City, Mo., according to Purcell officials.
"Jason's industrial tire sales and service operations will smoothly transfer over and become just one more facet of Purcell's service offering in the greater Kansas City area."
Based in Potosi, Mo., Purcell is one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the United States with more than 70 locations, according to the MTD 100.
It also is the fourth largest retreader in the U.S., according to MTD's recently published Top 50 Retreaders list, which can be viewed in the April 2022 issue of MTD, starting on page 42.

Earlier this year, Purcell acquired Commerce City, Colo.-based OTR, commercial truck and industrial tire dealership Callender Tire Inc.
