Ralson India Ltd. announced its entry into the United States commercial tire market with a new line of medium/heavy truck tires during the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show.
The company also has opened its new manufacturing facility in Indore, India, and has current product capacity of more than one million tires per year.
Ralson is supplying two TBR brands to the U.S.
The flagship Ralson brand will be sold through larger, full-service commercial tire dealerships that buy direct from the company and Ralson's Accelus brand will be sold through distributors who reach smaller tire dealerships.
“Ralson’s new line of commercial tires was made for United States consumers,” says Jim Mayfield, executive vice president, Ralson Tire North America.
“We are not taking a tire that does well in India and just dropping it in the United States. We have built a product that is going to work well in the environment it was made for.”
The Ralson product offering includes the RAR51 all-position tire, available in seven sizes. And the Ralson RAC55 - available in size 315/80R22.5 - is designed for waste haul and construction applications.
For Accelus, the AR91 is an all-position radial available in seven sizes. The Accelus DR92 is a closed shoulder drive tire available in four sizes.
“Our customers will find these tires to be the best combination of performance and price, with a higher performance rating of a tier-one tire, but the price of a lower-tier tire,” says Mayfield.
Ralson and Accelus tires will be available for purchase early in the first quarter of 2023.
