Vipal Rubber Corp. has introduced the VM310, a tread designed for use on drive and trailer axles in urban areas. The VM310 will be available in North America during the second half of this year.
It features Vipal's exclusive Eye Control Technology, "which facilitates the level of wear and the suggested time for a new retreading, preserving the integrity of the casing and the management of fleet tires," according to Vipal officials.
The VM310 also offers a rotational direction for enhanced traction; blocks that are designed to promote torque distribution; sipes that provide optimal grip in snow conditions; and more. (The tread is 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake-certified, Vipal's 16th tread that has earned that distinction.)
Its grooves help "minimize the retention of rocks and objects and allow better water outflow. With greater balance and stability due to its binding between blocks, the tread still offers good mileage performance and outstanding resistance to abrasion wear."
