Maxam Tire's new, proprietary EcoPoint3 compound will be fully integrated into the company's solid industrial tire lineup at its new factory in Vietnam.
"This innovative new compound - combined with state-of-the-art automation and manufacturing technology - completely revolutionizes the performance and durability of Maxam's material handling products," say Maxam officials.
"In addition to encompassing the new rubber compound into its solid tires, Maxam's new factory will increase existing production volume, efficiency and consistency through advanced automation."
Maxam says EcoPoint3 "provides superior distribution of ingredients during the mixing process" which allows for its compounds "to contain less inert filler, higher ratios of stress at elongation and minimal proportions of impurities in next-generation products."
EcoPoint3 also improved tire rolling resistance and enhanced skid and wear resistance, "producing a stronger, safer, more energy-efficient tire that delivers a comfortable ride."
Commenting on Maxam's new plant, Jimmy McDonnell, vice president of sales and marketing for Maxam Tire North America, says the factory is "a critical addition to increase production efficiency and quality."
