Maxam Tire North America Inc. is adding nine sizes to the Agrixtra N lineup for high-clearance tractors and self-propelled sprayers.
Maxam says the tires help improve farmers' productivity while also protecting crops with minimal soil compaction. The Agrixtra N is a narrow tire solution designed for multiple terrains and a variety of loads, soils and speeds. The tire offers more traction, which benefits in less fuel use, as well as better yields and less soil compaction.
There are eight new sizes in the standard Agrixtra N, plus the VF380/105R50 for service on the larger 1200-gallon and above self-propelled sprayers. The VF features new rubber compounds and casing materials. Maxam says the VF option gives growers the option to carry 40% more load at normal air pressures, or carry the same tire load with 40% less pressure to reduce ground pressure.
The tire carries an eight-year warranty.
“Maxam VF tires deliver improved performance that when coupled with onboard inflation equipment, will ensure the right inflation pressure is applied, delivering the optimal tire footprint based on the required speed or load carrying requirement in the field or on the road. Having developed product solutions for OEMs in the agricultural, off-the-road, mining, and construction markets, Maxam Tire is committed to delivering enhanced product solutions in every segment we serve,” says Greg Gilland, vice president of global agriculture at Maxam.
