Ascenso Tires North America has added the VDR 900 (VF), a radial tire for self-propelled sprayers and tractors with straddle row dual wheels for row crops.
The tires feature Very High Flexion (VF) technology, along with steel belts, to maximize the tire's footprint for optimal weight distribution and reduce soil compaction while maintaining yields. The VF tire is able to carry 40% more load at the same inflation pressure, or operate with 40% less pressure while still hauling the same weight. This allows self-propelled sprayers to manage heavier loads or reduce their impact on the soil, which is important as sprayer tanks can hold up to 10,000 gallons with boom widths that stretch more than 164 feet.
The VDR 900 (VF) tires are designed with strong lugs for both traction and self-cleaning. They also reduce slippage, which saves fuel consumption. The stronger lugs aid in the machine's overall productivity. A mud breaker on the lugs aids in self-cleaning.
The tire's steel belts help dissipate heat and provide resistance against punctures and stubble, which results in longer tire life.
The VDR 900 (VF) also offers a comfortable ride and stability on the road. With a D speed index, these tires are suitable for road speeds up to 40 mph.
