Continental Tire the Americas LLC announced it will now have an electric vehicle (EV) compatible checkmark on some of its new truck and bus tires.
Continental says EV-compatible tires can withstand the heavier weight of an EV.
“Our tires not only fulfill the needs of electric vehicles but also help to reduce combustion engine emissions over the long term,“ says Shaun Uys head of truck tire replacement business in the United States, Continental.
“All vehicles – regardless of their drive type – benefit from the technological advances of our tires.”
Continental’s first EV-compatible truck and bus tire, Conti HAU 5 in size 305/85R22.5, will be introduced to the market in quarter four of 2024.
