Fountain Tire Ltd. has added a new location in Fort McKay – a municipality in Alberta, Canada.
This is the company’s first brick-and-mortar location dedicated to mine service.
“We’re proud to unveil Fountain Tire’s mine service location in the heart of Canada’s oil sands,” says Nelson Tonn, vice president of sales and mine service at Fountain Tire.
“Our presence in Fort McKay is an investment in our local customers. A physical location allows Fountain Tire to enhance our service with specialized equipment for off-the-road tires and tire repair, tailored inventory and faster response times, all of which minimize downtime for our customers.”
The new location offers tire sales, service and tire repair for a wide range of vehicles and equipment, from light trucks to graders, haul trucks, wheel loaders and other earthmoving machines. Work is performed on fleets at the job site, in maintenance yards or at Fountain Tire’s facility.
The launch of Fountain Tire’s Fort McKay location follows the acquisition of Saskatoon Wholesale Tire Titan Mining Service Ltd. in late 2023.
Daniel Newton, who had been managing the business, was brought on as Fountain Tire’s operating manager and partner.
