Del-Nat Tire Corp. has added commercial truck tires to its exclusive Akuret private brand line. The addition will elevate the Akuret brand to a complete family of commercial products, according to the company.
“The Akuret commercial product line now has the depth and breadth that Del-Nat has been striving for -- allowing our stockholders to offer an exclusive and highly competitive private brand commercial product line,” says Jim Mayfield, president of the Memphis, Tenn.-based company.
The family of Akuret brand products now includes:
* commercial truck tires,
* industrial tires,
* OTR tires,
* farm tires,
* skid steer tires,
* ST trailer tires and
* backhoe tires.
Some of the new truck tires already are available. “As the year progresses, the Akuret commercial truck tire offering of tread designs and sizes will continue to expand," adds Mayfield.
The tires will be manufactured by Qingdao Doublestar (Doublestar) Industrial Co. Ltd. of Qingdao, China, one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world.
This is the second phase of a partnership between Del-Nat and Doublestar. In November, it was announced that Del-Nat will warehouse Doublestar brand medium-sized steel radial heavy-duty truck tires in its 486,000-square-foot Memphis facility (see "Doublestar, Del-Nat enter distribution partnership").
