Joan Floyd, half of the executive director team of Floyd and Floyd for the Northeast Ohio Regional Tire Dealers Assocation (NORTDA), died on Jan. 7, 2009.
Her husband of 58 years, Bill, also was executive director of the Ohio Tire Dealers and Retreaders Association (OTDRA) for 30 years. She remained active in the OTDRA with Bill after the regional association disbanded in 2004.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind sons Michael (Denise) and Gary, and daughter Kathy (James) Keifer; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also is survived by a brother, John (Rosemarie) Stocker, and sister, Nancy (Charles) Sgro.
Memorial services will be held Thursday, Jan. 15, at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Barberton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
