Not all of the recent news in the tire industry has been negative. The latest edition of MTD Senior Editor Mike Manges' "Tire Talk with Mike" blog examines a positive development: the opening of Service Tire Truck Centers' (STTC) newest retread plant.
The 85,000-square-foot facility in York, Pa., which also includes a full-service truck tire center, opened on Feb. 2.
STTC co-owner Walt Dealtrey Jr. "has never balked at doing what's best for his business," even during tough times, Manges writes.
