Edenton, N.C.-based Colony Tire Corp. is now a Michelin Retread Technologies Inc. (MRTI) retreader.

Colony Tire has one retread plant in Edenton, N.C., that is converting over from Bandag to MRTI "as we speak," Colony Tire CEO Charlie Creighton told www.moderntiredealer.com earlier today, May 12. (Creighton was Modern Tire Dealer's Tire Dealer of the Year in 2007.)
The company has another retread plant in Norfolk, Va., that it recently purchased from Michelin North America Inc.
MRTI will have 46 MTRI franchisees throughout North America, say MRTI officials.
