The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has all its ducks in a row for the for the 2012 Off-The-Road (OTR) Tire Conference, which will be held at the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Calif., Feb. 15-18.
Every year, the OTR Tire Conference features well-known and knowledgeable industry experts that address a variety of issues. This year's headline speakers are:
* Angie Jones, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations LLC, Thursday, Feb. 16. Jones will present the 2011 domestic and replacement and original equipment OTR tire production numbers.
* Maurice “Morry” Taylor, Titan International Inc., Friday, Feb. 17. As chairman and CEO of a company that manufactures both OTR tires and wheels, Taylor has a unique perspective on the industry.
* Jack Lengyel, former college football coach, Saturday, Feb. 18. He is perhaps best known for taking over the Marshall Thundering Herd football team in 1970 after the tragic plane crash that killed most of the team and its coaches. Matthew McConaughey played Lengyel in the movie, “We Are Marshall.” TIA describes the award-winning coach as "a nationally sought after motivational speaker."
TIA President Larry Brandt says that registrations for the 57th OTR Conference are coming in faster than in previous years.
"The hotel is almost sold out and we’ve already started a waiting list for golf. We are expecting record attendance for next year’s conference."
“Last year, there were nearly 500 attendees representing 16 countries, making it abundantly clear that the Tire Industry Association’s Off-The-Road conference is the place to be for the networking opportunities and educational sessions led by the top experts,” says TIA Executive Vice President Roy Littlefield.
