Prinx Chengshan Tire North America Inc. has launched a new Fortune brand spread axle trailer tire and a new Fortune long-haul steer tire.
The spread axle tire, the Fortune FTH102, "features a range of advancements, engineered with a specialized tread compound, to withstand wear and tear demands," say Prinx officials.
"Its arc shoulder design evenly disperses lateral forces, providing extra protection against abrasion. The big-angle zigzag design in the shoulder groove bottom offers stability for shoulder pattern blocks, reducing fatigue and tread block tearing.
"Integrated stone ejectors and gradient grooves reduce tread cap damage and promote casing integrity. A big-bead filler and high-strength rim cushion equip the FTH102 to handle high-load spread-axle applications and lateral forces during turns."
Ken Coltrane, vice president of product development and marketing, says the FTH102 "is a prime example of our commitment to innovation and meeting the distinct needs of our customers. This tire further expands the value tier options in the Fortune Tire TBR lineup.”
Also new is the Fortune FFH130ET Enhanced long-haul steer tire.
"Engineered for top-tier performance, durability, and eco-friendliness, this tire is set to redefine innovation of long-haul applications in the value tier," say Prinx officials.
"The FFH130ET is SmartWay-verified, ensuring lower rolling resistance, increasing fuel efficiency, and reducing carbon emissions for greener journeys.
"Tailored to excel in demanding long-haul conditions, the FFH130ET effortlessly manages heavy tractors. Boasting a higher load index and 16-ply rating, it confidently supports heavy loads while upholding stability and control for demanding long-haul conditions.
"The FFH130ET’s continuous shoulder and decoupling groove technology along with groove siping is designed to deliver more mileage, reduced irregular wear and better traction. Advanced stone ejectors protect the casing from stone drilling, promoting casing durability.
The tire is now available in two sizes, 295/75R22.5 LRG and 295/75R22.5 LRH, with six additional SKUs under development, including 11R22.5 LRG/LRH, 11R24.5 LRG/LRH and 285/75R24.5 LRG/LRH
All Fortune TBR tires come with a five-year, two-retread warranty, according to Prinx officials.
