Maxxis International-USA has introduced the first of two Razr MT-C (competition) specs: a new, 40-inch Ultra-4-friendly tire.
The first compound, designed for Ultra-4, debuts at this year’s 2025 King of the Hammers race taking place on Jan. 22 - Feb. 8. in Johnson Valley, Calif., and features a soft compound for additional grip on large boulders and rough terrain.
The second, currently in development, offers a durable tread compound for improving cut-and-chip resistance to be more suitable for longer, Baja terrain-type desert races.
The Razr MT-C is based on the Razr MT.
Maxxis-sponsored athletes who’ll be gunning for the first place include Chip McLaughlin and co-driver Brad Christiansen, Pip Justice and co-driver Tim Nolan, Justin Wicks, Brendon Thompson and Andrew McLaughlin and co-driver David “Huck” Sirota.
