World’s strongest men will lift Trelleborg tires

Aug. 29, 2012

A pair of Trelleborg’s 520/85R42 TM600 tires weighing 500 pounds each will used in the lifting stage of the World’s Strongest Man contest Sept. 24-Oct. 1, 2012 in Los Angeles, Calif.

“Trelleborg tires are usually the things demonstrating their strength while carrying high loads in fields and on road,” says Jeff Jankowski, Trelleborg Wheel Systems Americas Inc.’s sales director Agricultural and Forestry Tires.

“But as one of the challenges in the World’s Strongest Man competition, the tables are turned. It is the competitors showing their strength when lifting Trelleborg tires.”

Jankowski says that in order to meet the demands of end users for higher farming productivity, all of Trelleborg’s products are continuously undergoing a significant number of challenging tests.

“Just like the World’s Strongest Man athletes,” says Jankowski.

The 2012 35th annual World's Strongest Man contest is returning to the city where it first started in 1977. The event will be held on the grounds of the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles, Calif.
