In an effort to keep up with growing demand for its farm and OTR tires, Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT-Tyres) is introducing 160 new SKUs to the North American market in 2009.
Size additions include 480/80R50 for the company's RT 855 rear radial tractor tire line; four 22.5- through 26.5-inch sizes for its FL 630 flotation radial tire; and four 25-inch OTR radial sizes.
New tires from BKT will include a range of farm harvester radials in three sizes (650/75R32, 800/65R32 and 900/60R32), plus a forestry skidder tire line that will encompass four sizes, ranging from 26 inches to 32 inches in rim diameter.
"Our challenge is to meet customers' delivery expectations," say BKT officials.
The India-based company originally projected sales growth of 80% in 2008. By the end of the year, the company had achieved 135% in growth.
BKT is doubling its radial tire capacity in response to increased demand in the U.S. and Canada.
