Titan International Inc. says it expects to ship its giant OTR tires with sensors that will monitor air pressure and temperature "so that each mine (that uses the tires) will know tire data instantly, as will Titan."
The service is expected to begin within the next few months, according to Titan Chairman and CEO Morry Taylor.
At present, Titan has the capacity to manufacture 20 63-inch radial OTR tires per day at its Bryan, Ohio, plant. However, "the current market does not require that capacity at this time," adds Taylor.
