Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions (BBTS) has promoted Kurt Danielson to BBTS president, effective Aug. 1. Danielson will be responsible for the daily operation, profitability and direction of BBTS.
Danielson currently serves as vice president, sales and marketing, for BBTS.
"Kurt played a critical role in the formation of BBTS after the Bandag merger in 2007, and his professionalism and sound leadership have been instrumental in helping us meet the challenges of today's dynamic truck and bus tire and retread marketplace," says Saul Solomon, president, U.S. and Canada Commercial Tire Sales division, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations. (Solomon formerly held the BBTS president position concurrently with his present title.)
In related news, Kevin Berg has been named controller for BBTS, also effective Aug. 1. He will report to Danielson and will be responsible for financial planning and operations.
