Sailun Tire Americas has released its new Terramax R/T tire for trucks, Jeeps and SUVs in 36 sizes.
The tire is expected to officially launch in North America around July 4th and will keep flowing through the summer.
The tire was designed in the R&D center Sailun recently opened in Chattanooga, Tenn., and the Terramax is one of the first tires to come from this plant.
“The Terramax R/T is a 3PMS tire so we know we want to have it here for the summer, but we also want to make sure it’s easily available across the United States before winter hits,” says Jared Lynch, director of U.S. sales, Sailun.
“That way, our customers can have the tire before the bad weather hits. We recognize that a lot of R/Ts are sold on aesthetics, but this one, in particular, has incredibly good ice and snow traction along with off-road and on-road traction.”
“We made sure to put features on the tire that resonate with U.S. markets,” says Lynch.
“So, the tread design and sidewall width are tailored to North American consumers.”
