Hennessy Industries Inc. has unveiled a new center clamp tire changer for high-volume shops, as well as a new wheel balancer for light and medium-volume operations.
The new Coats 80C center clamp changer minimizes metal-on-metal contact. It features a 220V, two-horsepower motor; the company's RoboRoller Powered Assist feature, which provides direct pressure and prevents bead rollover; a standard auxiliary bead sealer to help seal "difficult beads more efficiently," according to Hennessy officials; and other features.
"Many technicians are already comfortable with the general layout of a swing arm tire changer and this machine is very similar in that regard," says Rick Kennedy, Hennessy's product marketing manager.
The new Coats 1185 wheel balancer features a color video display, live position index naviagtion to help operators quickly find weight placement locations, laser weight placement guidance, automatic wheel data entry and other features.
"It plugs easily into 110V power and is ready to get to work for general service shops looking to add wheel balancing to their offering, including the ability to handle a full range of OEM tire and wheel assemblies," says Kennedy.
