OTR Engineered Solutions Presents Tire for Mowers

Nov. 14, 2023

OTR Engineered Solutions is offering the Big Bite turf tire for mowers.

The tire is made for zero-turn, ride-on and stand-on mowers, and offers traction, stability and low rolling resistance, along with a large footprint. Even with its aggressive look, the tire is designed to protect both turf and grass against damage.

The Big Bite's tread angle is designed to help in damp conditions, and the side corner lug design offers traction on slopes for extra grip. The tire's open shoulders are self-cleaning, which also helps with traction, as well as with preventing damage to the casing.

The tire is made from an ATV rubber compound, and the tread's deep lugs provide extended wear life, which helps with wear in commercial applications when mowers are driven on parking lots and driveways.

“The Big Bite tire is a unique tire that not only delivers exceptional performance, but it looks great too,” said Brian Walter, vice president of original equipment sales. “It combines superior traction and stability with flotation characteristics that make it turf friendly with improved ride comfort, whether operating on smooth or rough terrain or on slopes, even if wet. We’ve gotten plenty of feedback from professional and residential users that they really like this tire, so we are making it available to everyone.”

The tire is sold as an assembly, including both the tire and wheel, for easy bolt-on installation and is available in a variety of sizes.
