Darren Wells, executive vice president and chief administrative officer at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., plans to retire.
In an SEC filing, Goodyear says Wells informed the company that he plans to retire on Feb. 29, 2024.
The company noted Wells has almost 20 years of service with Goodyear. He returned to the tiremaker in 2018 as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Before rejoining the company, he had served as an executive in residence and MBA coach at the University of South Florida's Muma College of Business.
Wells originally joined Goodyear in 2002 as vice president and treasurer and moved up in the company's financial leadership. He also served as president of Goodyear's Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business for two years before he left the company in 2016.
Wells isn't the only Goodyear executive who is planning a 2024 exit. In a November announcement, Goodyear said Chairman, CEO and President Rich Kramer plans to retire in 2024.
