Zhongce Rubber Group Co. Ltd. (ZC Rubber) has unveiled the first passenger tire produced at its new 5G factory in Hangzhou, China.
Dubbed “Future Factory v2.0,” the new factory utilizes digital technology and is “dedicated to producing premium tires” like electric vehicle tires and more, according to ZC Rubber officials.
"The successful construction and operation of this new 5G factory will further solidify our position in the market and enhance our brand presence, supporting our globalization efforts," says ZC Rubber officials.
"We are committed to enhancing product competitiveness, safety, and added value, leading the company towards becoming a world-leading tire company with higher standards."
The Chinese automobile population reached 319 million by the end of 2022, according to ZC Rubber.
The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers predicts the sales of new cars in China in 2024 will reach approximately 31 million units, a 3% increase.
Sales in China of electric cars are expected to reach 11.5 million units, "achieving 20% growth. The rapid expansion of (the) Chinese EV car market ... guarantees a strong demand for passenger tires in China," say ZC Rubber officials.
"ZC Rubber's 5G factory will be ready for such a demand increase and satisfy customers in both domestic and international market."
