The U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) has released its shipment forecast for 2025.
In total, the USTMA projects U.S. tire shipments will reach 340.4 million units, up 0.9% from the 337.3 million units the USTMA says shipped in 2024.
And the association is forecasting growth across the board, in passenger, light truck and medium truck tire categories and in both original equipment and replacement channels.
The strongest growth is expected in the OE truck tire market, with units projected to grow 2.7% in 2025.
These latest figures didn't quite reach what the USTMA forecasted in early December. At that point, the association expected the U.S. market to ship 338.9 million tires, while the USTMA now says the total was 337.3 million units.
