Sentury Tire USA has been selected for Discount Tire’s new Total Recycling Initiative through Liberty Tire Recycling, a program that aims to recycle all used tires and avoid sending them to landfills.
Sentury’s involvement in the program means their end-of-life tires will be turned into usable materials like crumb rubber and mulch.
“We pride ourselves on sustainability and on honoring the natural resources that have provided us the materials to operate,” says Maxwell Wee, executive vice president of Sentury Tire USA.
According to Sentury Tire officials, Sentury is the first tire manufacturer to be selected for this initiative and through this, no Sentury-branded tires taken out of service at Discount Tire will end up in a landfill.
