Sumitomo Rubber North America (SRNA) will increase prices on its Falken and Ohtsu brand passenger, light truck and medium light truck tires in the United States and Canada.
The passenger and light truck tire increase will be up to 8% and will be effective on Jan. 1.
The medium truck tire price increase will be up to 6% and will be effective on Dec. 1.
SRNA also says that it will implement inline adjustments on a "per size basis."
"Several factors have driven the need for this price increase, including increased costs in both transportation and labor, in addition to other market factors.," according to SRNA officials.
