Bosch Automotive Aftermarket and Hunter Engineering Co. have collaborated on an integrated alignment system to calibrate advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
Bosch says the system will feature its ADAS technology with Hunter's expertise in alignments and provide technicians and business owners with a reliable and accurate calibration system. The system is co-branded with the Bosch and Hunter names and features the hardware to calibrate ADAS systems "for the majority of global automakers."
In a joint release the companies say the collaboration provides technicians with the accuracy and workflow efficiency they need to perform the time-sensitive work. "These calibration tools are designed to help technicians align important safety systems quickly and accurately, saving the customer money."
“Bosch’s knowledge in ADAS system design adds an understanding on different driver’s assistance systems that’s not available on other products,” says Michael Simon, director of strategic business for the Bosch Aftermarket division. “Our technology background combined with the credibility customers expect from Hunter will deliver a calibration system that’s innovative, efficient and accurate.”
Kaleb Silver, director of product management at Hunter, says, “Hunter is proud to collaborate with Bosch. This venture brings together two innovative and exciting companies, working together for the first time on important technology for cars today, and into the future.”
The new calibration tools will be available through Hunter’s distribution network.
