Tire Discounters continues to grow its footprint with the addition of a new store in Columbus, Ohio, its 15th outlet in that market. The recently opened store gives the dealership more than 140 locations.
Outside its home market of Cincinnati, Ohio, Columbus is Tire Discounters' second largest market.
The new outlet is in the Columbus suburb of Westerville. “Customers have been asking us for a long time to open more Tire Discounters stores on the north side of Columbus,” says Charles Curlee, the company's vice president of retail sales. “We’re excited to make this happen and we’re ready to serve our customers here.”
According to Jamie Ward, Tire Discounters’ president and CEO, the dealership - which was founded in 1976 by Chip Wood - is growing quickly and adding stores in areas that don’t have access to a Tire Discounters location. (Wood was the recipient of MTD's 2020 Tire Dealer of the Year Award, which Ward notes "recognizes Tire Discounters for our commitment to customer satisfaction.")
“As a family-owned and operated business, we treat our customers like family,” says Ward. “We give our customers the value and quality service they deserve. It’s that simple.”
In addition to tires, Tire Discounters also offers a wide range of automotive services, including free alignments with the purchase of four new tires.
The company employs more than 1,400 people throughout Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama and is one of the largest independent tire dealerships in the United States, according to the 2020 MTD 100.
