Pomp’s Tire Service Inc. has acquired Dale’s Tire & Retreading Inc., which is based in Rapid City, S.D. Terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Founded in 1962, Dale’s Tire & Retreading has three locations - two in Rapid City and one in Scottsbluff, Neb.
In a LinkedIn post, Pomp’s said, “Like Pomp's, Dale's is third-generation family-owned and operated.”
Dale's Tire & Retreading has a consumer tire division, a commercial tire division and a retreading division. (Dale’s Tire & Retreading uses the Bandag system. Pomp’s Tire also is a Bandag retreader.)
Dale's Tire & Retreading also has a wholesale division.
Based in Green Bay, Wis., Pomp’s is the fifth largest retreader in the United States, according to the 2022 MTD Top U.S. Retreaders List, which will appear in the April issue of MTD.
Prior to the Dale’s Tire & Retreading acquisition, Pomp’s had 16 retread plants.
