Bridgestone Americas Inc. says it is the final stages of selling 25 GCR Tires & Service locations and four retread plants to a couple of "strategic buyers."
According to a Bridgestone spokesperson, those companies include Pomp's Tire Service Inc. and an unidentified firm.

"The sale of these GCR locations to strategic independent dealers is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen and secure Bridgestone's commercial tire distribution network in the U.S. to deliver long-term sales growth."
The transactions are expected to finalize later this month.
