Bauer Built Inc. has promoted three longtime employees and also hired a vice president of human resources.
Todd Weber was promoted to chief sales officer. He started with the company as a part-time worker while he was in high school, and joined the full-time staff in 1986 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He's served in several capacities over the last 30 years, from sales, service, retread manufacturing, warehouse, then through store management. He then served as vice president of sales and executive vice president of sales and operations. He'll now supervise sales operations for the company's tire centers as well as their wholesale distribution centers. In all, he'll oversee 35 tire center locations in four regions.
Mike Weber was promoted to chief operating officer. He began his career with Bauer Built in 1994 and worked in several positions until he was promoted to store manager in Waukesha, Wis., in January 2004. He later became director of manufacturing in June 2012, and as of April 1 will serve as vice president of operations and manufacturing. He'll focus on the processes and technologies for Bauer Built's locations.
Scott Kusilek was promoted to vice president of manufacturing. Kusilekbegan his career with Bauer Built as a production associate in St. Paul, Minn., in February 2010. Five months later he was promoted to retread plant manager. In 2013 he transitioned into the position of retread operations coordinator, and later took on the role of director of manufacturing. He now will be responsible for the performance of six Michelin Retreading Technologies production facilities and two wheel reconditioning plants.
The company announced the promotions during its annual shareholders meeting on March 23.
In addition to the in-house promotions, in November 2021 Bauer Built hired Chelsea Schneider to serve as the company's vice president of human resources. She comes to the company from CURT, a manufacturer and distributor of towing products and truck accessories, where she was the director of human resources.
