World Economic Forum Recognizes CEAT

CEAT Ltd.'s plant in Halol, India, has been awarded the Lighthouse Certification by the World Economic Forum. CEAT Ltd. is the parent company CEAT Specialty Tires.

The certification is given to manufacturers "that use fourth-industrial revolution technologies to transform factories, value chains and business models for sustainability, empowering the workforce," say CEAT officials.

Anant Goenka, managing director for CEAT Ltd., says the manufacturer "is the first tire company in the world to get the certification and this journey started three to four years back."

CEAT tires are sold in more than 115 countries.
