Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has finalized its acquisition of the Pilot Flying J truck stop network.
Berkshire Hathaway acquired its remaining 20% interest Pilot Travel Centers LLC, which had been owned by the Haslam family, on Jan. 16.
Founded in 1958, Pilot Travel Centers billed itself as "the largest operator of travel centers in North America with more than 750 locations across 44 states and six Canadian provinces."
In January 2021, Southern Tire Mart LLC, the largest commercial tire dealership in the U.S., and Pilot formed a strategic alliance, Southern Tire Mart at Pilot Flying J.
