The new Ridemax Frost from BKT has been designed for transportation and urban maintenance applications on snow and ice-covered surfaces.
"Winter brings a set of unique challenges that put both equipment and their drivers to the test," says Dilip Vaidya, senior president and director of technology at BKT.
"Ridemax Frost is designed to overcome these obstacles, offering traction, control and reliability even in the most extreme situations."
Among other characteristics, the new tire's features include an advanced tread design for enhanced traction, tread blocks with multiple sipes for additional points of contact, grooves that entrap snow for optimal traction, an advanced elastic compound that maintains elasticity even in low temperatures and more, according to BKT officials.
