The Yokohama TWS ag tire manufacturing plant in Spartanburg, S.C., will close at the end of March.
The plant, which started production in 2015, builds Trelleborg brand tires.
Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd. acquired Trelleborg Wheel Systems in 2023.
In July 2024, Yokohama TWS announced that the Spartanburg plant had achieved a 20% boost in production capacity.
Yokohama TWS has another United States-based plant in Charles City, Iowa.
