Global Rubber Industries (Pvt) Ltd. (GRI) recently won the MHI Innovation Award for Best Innovation in Sustainability at the recent ProMat 2025 show.
According to GRI officials, "this award was presented after a rigorous judging process, where a panel of industry leaders, technical experts and sustainability advocates evaluated sustainable innovations that are transforming the material handling industry."
Specifically, GRI was honored for its Ultimate Green XT tire, which is made at the company's plant in Sri Lanka.
"The Ultimate Green XT sets a new benchmark in sustainable material handling by integrating environment-friendly raw materials, an energy-efficient production process and exceptional durability that extends tire life and reduces waste."
