Shop equipment manufacturer diversifies

April 28, 2012

In an on-going effort to further diversify its product offerings, JohnDow Industries Inc. (JDI) recently completed the asset purchase of Austin Engineering Inc. Both companies are based in Barberton, Ohio.

Austin Engineering manufactures corrosion protection products for underground petroleum piping systems. These innovative products save money and time, and minimize regulatory requirements, according to JDI.

“We feel that their two products -- the Flex Protectors and the Zip-Boot -- can achieve tremendous sales increases under the JDI umbrella and will give immediate growth to the Fuel Chief and Crew Chief brands in the PEI market,” says Mark Pfleeger, vice president of sales and new business development.
