The latest TPMS technology is... complicated

Nissan Motor Co. seemingly has advanced tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) technology on at least two of its 2013 models.

According on at to the company, the technology eliminates the need for tire pressure gauges. It sounds like a breakthrough.

But hold on. What, exactly, does the Nissan "Easy Fill Tire Alert " do? Is it really new? And could there be problems with it?
