Jack Williams Tire picks up new lines, opens D/C

Feb. 27, 2009

Jack Williams Tire Co. will officially launch two new product programs, one with Kumho Tire U.S.A. Inc. and the other with Cooper Tire & Rubber Co., in late March at its annual trade show and open house in Moosic, Pa.

In late 2008, Jack Williams Tire became a Kumho distributor. In February 2009, it entered into an agreement with Cooper to carry the company's Mastercraft line.

"We intend to bring the complete Mastercraft line to northeast and central Pennsylvania, southern New York (and) Northern New Jersey," says Bill Williams, the dealership's chairman and CEO. (Williams was Modern Tire Dealer's Tire Dealer of the Year in 2006.)

"We are excited to expand our product offering. Kumho and Mastercraft are lines that will bring us new dealers and additional business."

In related news, Jack Williams Tire recently opened a wholesale distribution center in Harrisburg, Pa. (The dealership has three other distribution centers, one in its hometown of Moosic, one in Allentown, Pa., and a third in Freemansburg, Pa.)

In addition to Kumho and Mastercraft, Jack Williams Tire also carries Goodyear, Michelin, Continental, Toyo, Yokohama, Nokian, Nexen, National and Carlisle brand tires.
