The final numbers are in, and the 2009 edition of Autopromotec drew 101,620 attendees, an increase of 2.4% over the last edition of the show, which was held in 2007.
Approximately 16,689 attendees were from outside of Italy.
This year's Autopromotec -- which was held May 20-24 in Bologna, Italy -- also featured 1,443 exhibitors, an increase of 2.8% from the 2007 show. Approximately 468 of those exhibitors were from abroad, while the rest were from Italy. (Approximately 95 exhibitors were from Germany.)
"Industry members recognized Autopromotec not only as an exhibition able to showcase the entire production of the (automotive) sector, but also as a veritable business platform," say Autopromotec officials.
They were particularly pleased with reactions to the show's new Futurmotive exhibit, which displayed new technologies for "sustainable mobility and the reduction of fuel consumption and emissions. The exhibit... had the aim of providing auto repairers and motorists with information on the best technology for reducing fuel consumption and harmful emissions, improving service, and managing auto repair shops in a more eco-friendly way."
The next edition of Autopromotec will be held May 25-29, 2011, in Bologna.
