Oct. 12, 2009

Hennessy Industries Inc. has rolled out several new Coats heavy-duty tire changers, including the CHD-9551, which has been designed for high-volume shops.

The CHD-9551 can handle wide-base, skidder, farm and off-road tires up to 95 inches in diameter (maximum rim diameter: 46 inches). It comes with a remote control rotating tool head/arm for quick tool changes. An optional wireless remote gives operators the ability to move around the machine.

Also new from Hennessy is the Coats CHD-6330 changer, designed for shops with moderate-to-high volume. It comes with a four-jaw chuck to allow fast and easy clamping of virtually all rim styles, according to Hennessy officials.

"Floating jaws match wheel contours for excellent grip and safety. A portable wired unit lets you work from the best angle at all times."

The CHD-4730 changer is designed for smaller shops. Its compact design is ideal for tight areas. "Swing arm-mounted controls are always right where you need them." The machine handles rims up to 26 inches in diameter and tires up to 47 inches in diameter.
