Automechanika Shanghai attracts record number of exhibitors

Nov. 6, 2009

Automechanika Shanghai will have a record-setting number of exhibitors when it's presented Dec. 9-11, 2009, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China.

More than 2,200 exhibitors from 23 countries and regions will be present, including companies from Belgium, Brazil, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK and the U.S. As a result, the exhibition space has expanded to nine halls.

As Asia’s largest sourcing platform for automotive parts, equipment and services, the show has attracted pavilions from Germany, France, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the U.S., with Spain showing for the first time.

Automechanika Shanghai will also feature Chinese pavilions organized by several local industry associations.

Automechanika Shanghai will also set up special showcase zones for electric and electronic products, engine components, hardware and tools, spraying equipment and materials, car care products, accessories and service outsourcing. These special zones will help buyers to focus on specific products and services and build up their marketing sector networks, show organizers say.

An Automechanika Matchmaking Forum will offer an opportunity for exhibitors to meet one-on-one with domestic and international buyers to explore potential business opportunities. Heads of sourcing and procurement departments from nearly 20 companies from China, Iran, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Russia, South Africa, and the UAE will be in attendance.

Automotive original equipment manufacturers, aftermarket products manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors and retailers such as Fiat (China) Business Co Ltd, Federal Mogul China, Gates Unitta Power Transmission Limited, GDC Enterprises T/A GDC Equipment, Partquip (Pty) Ltd, Valeo Asia Purchasing Office and Yellow Hat Ltd will be present at the forum.

Automechanika Shanghai is one of 13 global Automechanika fairs held in Asia, Europe, North America, South America and Africa. For further information, visit www.automechanika.com.
