The Automotive Distribution Network has reached an agreement with Any-Part Auto Stores in New York to become a Parts Plus member.
“With eight locations on Long Island, Any-Part has been a successful Auto Pride member under the Network umbrella for years, so we expect a seamless transition to Parts Plus that will prove beneficial for all parties,” says Mike Lambert, president of the Network.
Since opening its first location in Bay Shore in 1990, Any-Part has added stores in Copiague, Huntington, Massapequa, Mastic, Medford, Northport and Ronkonkoma, N.Y.
Any-Part’s move to Parts Plus is indicative of the company’s ongoing shift from a three-step business to a direct distributor, according to Chuck Dardis, sales and marketing manager, who co-owns the Long Island-based jobber chain along with Allen Vogel, finance manager, and Jack Longo, operations manager.
“To gain an edge in the competitive New York market, we began adding lines and transitioning to direct distribution about eight years ago,” Dardis says. “As a Parts Plus member, we plan to open a ninth store and add another warehouse in the next few years.”
The Network announced the signing of California-based Allied Auto Stores a few days ago. “These recent signings reflect the Network’s commitment to maintaining the Parts Plus brand from coast to coast,” Lambert says.
The Network operates under the brands of Parts Plus, Parts Plus Mexico, IAPA and Auto Pride. For more information, contact Bob Barstow at (901) 682-9090.
