Continental adds to VDO REDI-Sensor coverage

Nov. 30, 2011

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket has added to its list of vehicles covered by its VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensors.

New validations for the VDO REDI-Sensor No. SE10001 expand the coverage for Chrysler, Ford, General Motors, Hummer, Hyundai, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi and Nissan vehicles.

The new VDO REDI-Sensor No. SE10002, which covers Acura, Honda, Lexus, Scion and Toyota vehicles (as well as additional Hyundai and Kia validations), will be available to service technicians in the first quarter of 2012.

VDO REDI-Sensor multi-application sensors are compatible with all major TPMS scan tools, according to the company. They also are pre-programmed, "so there is no need for new training or specialized programming tool investments."

REDI-Sensor sensors come ready to use right out of the box. "With very few exceptions," they relearn to the vehicle in the exact same way as the original equipment sensors. The sensors are OE-validated for fit, function and reliability.

Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket is a business unit of Continental AG. For more information on the REDI-Sensor, visit: www.redi-sensor.com.
